How long does the family photo session last?

Looking to book a Surrey family photo session? A family photo session typically last an hour. Some families might think an hour seems excessive, considering children can’t sit still, or they feel the full hour will be tedious. I promise that I will keep your family feeling relaxed, and entertained! We all know kids are not fond of being asked to smile or pose, so I would not expect them to listen to my directions! I guide the adults, and ask them to engage and interact with their children. Most of the time the kids really crave undivided attention from us, when they get the opportunity to be with you, I will capture those connections.

Sometimes kids take a while to warm up, and adults, too! That’s why I love to have a full hour to really make it worth our while. This particular family was so much fun to photograph. Even though the baby girl was feeling under the weather, and the photo time was past her usual bed time. We got some really precious images for this family. I take time to change our scenery, I create a laid back atmosphere so I can really get to know your family. When you only have 15 minutes, you’re more likely to feel stressed and strained for time. It’s my job to keep your family feeling comfortable, and those images will come naturally!
