Beautiful Richmond Sunset Session | Vancouver + Richmond Family Photographer

Looking for a Richmond sunset session? I would highly recommend Garry Point Park for outdoor family photos! This location is so spacious and the light is absolutely beautiful. I typically recommend locations that are not too crowded with people, and has a variety of scenery. This park has beaches and fields, providing a natural backdrop for our sessions.

The spacious fields give families the opportunity to run around and enjoy themselves. You won’t find a shortage of photographers at this park! There is always people here taking photos so you know it’s a really awesome spot for photographers.

The sunset provides a warm glow to our images, and the sky turns a dusty pink. Golden hour is about an hour before the sunset, and it is my preferred time to capture families. The light is at its most flattering angle and the warm tones are stunning!

This Richmond sunset session was easy and fun to shoot. We enjoyed running around and exploring the park! My sessions are 45-60 minutes long, which gives us plenty of time to warm up and get comfortable. We move quickly from one spot to the next, keeping kids interested and doing fun things! You can always bring a snack if your child needs a little break in between photos. A full belly is a happy belly!
