Branding session experience

Branding sessions are perfect for business that are looking to level up their online presence. You should have a clear understanding of your brand, ideal client, and goals. Branding images are an extension of your brand, and a Vancouver branding photographer like me can help!

If your business is brand spanking new, then you might only need a few lifestyle portraits to get your face out there!

Portrait Refresh are suitable for people that only need a few images of themselves, maybe it’s been a while since your last profile photo. This is perfect for LinkedIn profiles, website image update, or for a new business that is taking off! 

Branding sessions are more than just a single photo. We create a collection of images of you in your workspace and capturing your personality. Images that make you relatable to your ideal client. 

• Social Media: Personal branding images are often used on social media, connecting and showing your face is an important part of your brand. 
• Website: Use these images on your website in the about me section! People want to know about the person behind the business. 
• Newsletters and marketing materials: Don’t forget to include images that will remind people of you! 
• Storytelling: You can showcase your process by sharing images of  you behind the scene.

My branding  photography style is natural lifestyle portraits, meaning we will use your workspace (or other locations that are relevant to your brand), capturing you being you! 
Images will include:

• Lifestyle portraits
• Workspace images
• Tools of trade, objects, and products that are a part of your brand
• Images that help convey your brand identity and value

Not every business has a physical workspace, your business may be a service that is mobile.
Your home office: If your home is where you often conduct your work, then it could be a perfect spot. 
On-location service: For example, a makeup artist could choose a client’s home for their location.
Other locations: Coffee shops, outdoors, studio space, etc. Depending on your brand, we can discuss what’s the most suitable location for you. Some venues may require a rental fee.

I have a portable black/white backdrop that we could use if you need images with a plain backdrop.

Our branding session will include some images of you in your workspace showcasing some of your products, but it is not a product photography session.

Wear something that represents your personality and your brand. I always suggest choosing outfits that makes you feel professional yet relatable. We can discuss wardrobe when we create your collaborative mood board.  

• Neutral top + nice pair of pants.
• Clothing with structure. For example dresses with shape, wide leg pants, clothing that can hold their own shape!
• Wear colours that compliment your skin tone and hair. 
• Don’t forget to pamper your nails and accessorize!

Branding Wardrobe Ideas

All images will have light retouching. Small blemishes, bruises, anything that is not permanent can be retouched. We’re focused on delivering natural and real images of you. Please do not ask for body contouring, face smoothing, or hair colour change!

I deliver all the best images from our branding session. A 90 minute branding session will have an average of 60+ images. All images are delivered in colour unless otherwise noted. 

I can offer recommendations for makeup artist near your area. You are welcomed to use your own makeup artist. 

If we need to rent a studio, or a venue for your branding session, the rental fee is an additional cost that will be added to your final session fee.
