In-home maternity photos are wonderful | Vancouver Family Photographer

I offer outdoor family session, in-home newborn session, and maternity session! Each type of sessions have a slightly different flow and energy. Outdoor sessions are typically high energy, lots of running around and lots of movement. Newborn sessions are much relaxed and mellow, capturing soft tender moments. Maternity session’s flow is somewhere in between, a slower vibe, but still plenty of snuggles, tickles, and laughs.

If you’ve got kids, they are always excited to be in the photo with mom and dad! We always try to get some sweet family moments, as well as solo photos to document mom’s growing belly.

I love maternity session because I can see the excitement and anticipation of a new family member. Pregnancy is a really wonderful journey to capture, it’s a such a special time that I wish I had documented for my own two pregnancies.

What does a in-home maternity session look like?

When I first arrive, I will take a quick tour around your home to find the best spots for our session. Then we will start with some family photos, cuddles on the bed, some playful images.

Soon, I will get some snaps of mom by herself. Then we will bring back everyone, and let the kids guide me. Sometimes we may do tickle fights, read a book, and whatever your family really enjoys together!

My goal is to keep everyone feeling relaxed and be present in the moment. Don’t worry about looking perfect or posing, I will guide you and capture your special family connection, you just need to be yourselves.
