Location, location, location | Surrey + Vancouver Family Photographer

I love outdoor sessions. Since I only use natural light, location is pretty important! I’ve got a few favourite locations, but if you have a suggestion, I’d be more than happy to check it out.

Using our beautiful British Columbia as the backdrop, we can choose from beaches, fields, mountains, lakes, and forests. Sometimes the location will have one or more of these elements, and we can really get a good variety!

The most important thing is that these locations have plenty of space for kids to explore and run around, so we are not confined by four walls. Here is my family exploring a new area. Let me know if you have a favourite spot!

Beaches + Lakes

We’ve got Kits beach in Vancouver, Crescent beach in Surrey, Garry Point in Richmond, and lakes in Burnaby and Pitt Meadows! Beaches and lakes are wonderful spots for family photos, reflections from the bodies of water makes for ethereal images.

Mountains

Pitt Meadows and Burnaby have great views of mountain backdrop! Spots with mountains will be scheduled 1.5-2 hours before sunset, as the sun will be blocked by the mountains earlier than sunset.

This is a popular spot by Pitt Lake, the combination of water and mountain is absolutely stunning. Let me know if you want your next family photo sessions taken here!
