2020 started with a global pandemic. The COVID-19 crisis hit every small business hard. As our province prepares to ease up on restrictions, my photography business will also resume with enhanced COVID-19 Precautions.
Here are a few things I will do to ensure the safety and health of my clients as well as myself.
The first to return are the outdoor family sessions, these take place in outdoor settings where we can easily practice social distancing. Lots of fresh air and space to move around.
In-home newborn sessions will also be offered with similar precautions. The session will be contactless, I will provide guidance verbally for the parents on how to hold the baby. Before the pandemic, I always let the parents hold and adjust the newborn, so this will remain the same! Before we begin the session, I will wash my hands with soap and wear a mask. I will do my best to maintain 6 feet of distance, but this isn’t always possible in home settings where rooms are smaller.
Alternatively, we can always schedule a newborn photo session when the baby is older. You can have newborn photos at 5 days old, 5 weeks old, or even 10 months old! I understand everyone has a different comfort level and that’s perfectly fine. The most important thing is that you and your family feel comfortable and safe. If you have any concerns or questions regarding booking a family photo session, please reach out to me, and I would love to answer them!
