Surrey Family Photo Session

Hi my name is Annie, and I am a family photographer based in Surrey, B.C.! I travel within the lower mainland, so you’ll find me anywhere from Vancouver to Surrey, to Coquitlam! Where are the outdoor locations for a Surrey family session?

Surrey has many spots perfect for family photos. One of my favourite location is Crescent Beach area. Beaches and fields are some of the best locations for family sessions because we get a variety of backdrop, as well as space for the kids to run around. Surrey also has many parks, fields, trails, that would be perfect for a more foliage mood.

When should we book?

Anytime you want! Spring, summer, and fall are typically the best time for family photos. Winter months are cold and the sun sets very early. I love to photograph families one hour before sunset, so that means spring/fall sessions will start around 4-5pm, and summer sessions start around 8pm! So if you are considering little one’s bedtime, this might be a good thing to consider.

What about rain?

It rains a lot here, so I always ask families to book 2 dates in case of rain. I won’t officially reschedule our session until 2 hours prior to the start time. If the weather is dry, then we will go ahead with our session. Sometimes cloudy skies give us beautiful clouds.
