Looking for the best Surrey family photo location? Surrey is called the city of parks, and it lives up to the hype. I am located in Surrey but I do travel all over the Metro Vancouver area for photos. I have my top 2 fave spots in Surrey, and no gate keeping locations today! Drumroll please!

Adventurous family session at Mud Bay Park, Surrey

This is a very popular Surrey family photo location. I see family photos, maternity sessions, and engagement photo sessions being photographed here often. This park is located just off of HWY 99, it is popular for bird watching and it has a short trail. You’ll find marshy lands with muddy beaches. This park is no easy feat. If you like this surreal feel of nature, prepare to get your feet dirty. There a small climb down a slop to access the grassy area, which can be marshy at times. Also a gorgeous beach during low tide, which ring true to its name, Mud Bay. There is literally mud, but if you are a fun family who likes adventures with a bit of dirt, then this spot is perfect for you.

*Barefoot not required but recommended! This Surrey location is best suited for family photos with older kiddos, and parents who are willing to let kids get messy.

Laid back session at Blackie Spit Park, Surrey

Surrey beach family photos are always fun. I frequent this Surrey park because this one has got a variety of sceneries. We’ve got the beach, a field, and beautiful foliage. This park looks different all year round. The beach is a great spot for those warm sunset hues, and kids love throwing rocks into the water. A great and easy spot for toddlers to roam. This location is pretty mellow, and great for a laid back family session vibe. I think this is one of the best family session locations for young kiddos.
