Have you been thinking about family photos for a while, but unsure about when to book yours? How about family photos in spring? The most popular season for family photos happens to be late summer and early autumn. Winters are cold and wet, and summer months are usually reserved for family vacations. Once families have returned from their vacation, they start to plan for family photos in the fall. This is one of the busiest times for photographers. If you have some flexibility in your family schedule, I would like to say spring is also the perfect season for family pictures.
Once winter has past and we move into spring, the temperature warms up and we can finally shed some layers! This makes wardrobe planning a lot easier with options like a light sweater, cardigan, and even warm enough for dresses.
Popular locations are always crowded in summer and fall evenings. There much more room to run around and allow your children to take the lead on where to explore. This will allow us to have more storytelling images and do fun things like dance battles!
If you have had family photos done in the fall, it would be a great idea to switch up the seasons. In the springtime, there are new growth on trees, the grass comes back alive, and we even get some early blooms. Spring is really beautiful to photograph if we choose a location with plenty of vegetation and flowers!
